Babolat Hosts Pure Drive Racquet Launch in New York City
On Thursday, August 24 at the Manhattan Plaza Racquet Club in New York City, tennis manufacturer, Babolat, hosted an event to launch their new racquet the Pure Drive Racquet.
Guests were treated to appearances by Tennis Hall of Famer Kim Clijsters, defending Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles Champion Garbine Muguruza and ATP World Tour player Fabio Fognini, who shared their thoughts about the new racquet and hit with participants in glow in the dark themed courts with techno music playing throughout the PA system.
Participants, who attended the event, where tennis industry leaders, coaches and Babolat sponsored local coaches.
Many media members were on hand for the event as well including journalists from Vogue, Tennis Channel and ESPN.com.
Each player spent one hour at the event mixing and mingling with the guests and posing for photos in between their on-court obligations discussing the racquet and hitting with the new racquet style to promote Babolat’s newest racquet style.
Each participant in attendance at the event was given a brand new Babolat Pure Drive racquet to keep for their use and most got their racquet signed by the players.
Muguruza and Fognini will be participating in the 2017 US Open Tennis Championships using the Babolat Pure Drive racquet in hopes of adding a major title in New York to their already impressive resumes.
